The beach of Cefalù: the sea a few steps from the village

The Lido of Cefalù offers a picturesque and extraordinary spectacle, it seems almost a painting in which different elements meet harmoniously. The beach of Cefalù is a long stretch of golden sand that rises in a picturesque bay, in the stretch of coast between the “Rocca” and the promontory of Santa Lucia.

Specifically, it is framed in a postcard landscape, among the most immortalized of the island. It is also a stone’s throw from the ancient fishing village. The latter, extends for over a kilometer and is also very appreciated by the many tourists who come to visit the city.

It is bathed by crystalline and transparent waters that take on shades from emerald green to intense blue. The shallow and sandy seabed near the shore make the sea of Cefalù particularly appreciated by families with children. The Lido offers a stretch of free beach but also an area equipped with umbrellas, bars and restaurants, both very populated especially in the hot summer period, in July and August. There are also free showers.

Walking along the beach, there are several scenarios, from fine golden sand to pebbles, to the convoluted coasts enlivened by rocks. The beach at any time of the day is full of swimmers and tourists. The famous seaside resort is animated by an intense city life. It is served by a beautiful promenade that, in the stretch closest to the town, is populated by restaurants, pizzerias and clubs where you can enjoy the dishes of local cuisine and fresh fish just caught.

On the seafront and in the surrounding areas there are parking areas for a fee and numerous accommodation facilities of all types where to book a holiday. The coast of Cefalù extends for several kilometers, both east and west from the town, and is composed of many other bays, rocky coves, rocks that plunge overhanging the sea and isolated beaches.
